My name is Leslie Spivey. I was born and raised in Kettering, Ohio and I still live there. I married my college sweetheart 23 years ago, and we have three teenagers: Melinda(22), Chris(20), and Liz (19).

I'm an Associate Professor of Computer Information Technology. I've been teaching classes at Edison Community College for about 9 years. Before coming to Edison, I spent 6 years as an IS Director for an Adolescent Mental Health Facility. Prior to that, I spent 14 years as a Programmer and Network Administrator. Part of my career has always involved end-user training, and I always enjoyed that part the most. So, I took a leap of faith and changed careers. I found a way to combine two things I enjoy, computers and education. I'm training the next generation of programmers!
